The ACTRIS vocabulary server documents the vocabulary and controlled lists of terms used by the Infrastructure ACTRIS. As grammar for observed variables, the ACTRIS vocabulary takes into use the InteroperAble Descriptions of Observable Property Terminology (I-ADOPT) concept for atomizing the variable names into parts of themselves controlled lists of terms. The vocabulary aims to refer to link to external vocabularies wherever possible.

AtChem2 is an updated, standalone off-line version of Atchem Online. It allows the user to run longer, more complex simulations containing the full MCM, such as those needed for modelling of intensive field campaigns, as well as to perform batch model runs for sensitivity studies. The four-dimensional (4-D) distribution of the Eyjafjallajökull volcanic cloud in the troposphere over Europe as observed by ACTRIS/EARLINET during the entire volcanic event (15 April–26 May 2010) was investigated thanks to the optical properties directly measured (backscatter, extinction, and particle linear depolarization ratio) and stored in the ACTRIS ARES database. A specific relational database providing the volcanic mask over Europe, realized ad hoc for this specific event, has been developed and made available.

GECKO-A Online is a web facility providing rate constants and thermodynamic properties (Henry’s law coefficient and saturation vapor pressure) for organic compounds based on Structure Activity Relationships. Gas phase oxidation mechanisms up to the first generation products can be downloaded. The NILU THREDDS Data Server provides catalog, metadata, and data access services for scientific data from the EBAS database and both ACTRIS and EBAS Near Real-Time Data. The server provided several access protocols such as e.g. OPeNDAP (file streaming) and HTTPServer (direct download). Recommended search method for the NILU THREDDS Data Server is using the ACTRIS Metadata REST API.

The objective of the ReOBS project is to create a multi-parameter dataset with a high level of quality control in a format that can be easily used by the scientific community for the study and understanding of climate variables at the regional scale. ReOBS aims to synthesize, analyze and homogenize all the observations of an ACTRIS site in a single NetCDF file with a time resolution of one hour.

The VolcPlume Portal (https://volcplume.aeris-data.fr) is dedicated to the near-real time and retrospective tracking and analysis of the physico-chemical properties of volcanic plumes in the atmosphere, from the source to regional/global scales. The portal allows for jointly analysing a broad panel of satellite and ground-based active and passive remote sensing observations of both volcanic gas and particles, as well as in-situ ground air quality monitoring measurements to detect and isolate a volcanic plume signature down to the ground. Benefiting from developments favouring interactivity and flexibility, this portal thus aims to facilitate an in-depth assessment of the multi-scale atmospheric impacts of volcanic plumes that can include, depending on the type and magnitude of the eruption, modifications of the atmospheric chemistry, degradation of air quality, aviation hazards, and climate impacts.
